Cerro Bandera

Cerro Bandera is a hill located on Navarino's Island, it is visible from Puerto Williams and on the top is the Chilean flag, it takes approximately 3 hours round trip.

Route

If you like hiking, going through native trees, discovering the beauty of nature in its pure essence, despite having snow, mud, cold, arm yourself with courage because it will be an unforgettable experience. Ascend slowly, all signposted, with resting places, impressive viewpoints, until you reach the top, the waving flag and that view of the Beagle and Puerto Williams. It's just beautiful.

First lookout

A viewpoint with a magnificent view of the Beagle Channel, surrounded by the southernmost trees in the world. 45 minutes round trip

Second lookout

Already close to reaching the top of Bandera's hill, you will find this beautiful viewpoint. An hour and a half round trip.

Top of Bandera's hill

This charming tour ends at the top of the hill, with the flaming flag of Chile and the pleasant calm of the south of the world. 3 hours round trip.

My services

I will take you from Puerto Williams to the trailhead of Bandera's hill. Round trip.
$20 dollars per person.
You have to tell me:

  • If you go to the first viewpoint, I will come for you in an hour and ten minutes.

  • If you go to the second viewpoint, I will come for you in an hour and 50 minutes.

  • If you go to the top of Bandera's hill, I will come for you in three hours and 20 minutes.
